For the second time in three weeks, the Florida State Seminoles will be involved in a top-five primetime showdown, this time it’ll be against the in-state, blood rival Miami Hurricanes.
Two weeks ago, the ‘Noles walked into Death Valley and showed the nation that they’re the real deal when they hammered the Clemson Tigers, 51-14. This time, they’ll be facing a team that will be trying to do something similar in the ‘Canes.
Miami’s schedule has been questionable, at best, but the fact is they’re undefeated and also have an SEC victory on their resume in the form of the Florida Gators back in September. No game should be taken for granted, and this one is no exception. Make no mistake about it, there is some talent on this Miami team, they have the potential to be dangerous if they can put it all together at once.
But, Florida State has just been playing on a whole other level than a lot of other teams in the country to this point. This will be just another chance for the nation to feast their eyes on FSU’s number one weapon, redshirt freshman QB Jameis Winston.
Does Miami have what it takes to slow down the Seminole attack?

Prediction: Of everything that this Florida State team has shown this season, one of my favorite things is how focused they are. It was clearly evident before the Clemson game that they were ready to take care of business, and Saturday night should be a lot more of the same. Miami may, in the next few seasons, get back up to that elite level, but this just isn’t the year. The ‘Noles should be able to bring the ‘Canes back down to earth and continue on their journey to a potential undefeated season.
