It’s was quite the whirlwind weekend for the Florida State football program.
On Friday night, they held an event to honor former head coach Bobby Bowden who returned to Tallahassee for the first time since leaving the program following the 2009 season. Saturday, they avenged one of the losses from last season by trouncing N.C. State at home, 49-17.
Those were two the favorable happenings.
On Sunday, things took a bit of a turn for the worse because, despite the victory over the Wolfpack, the ‘Noles fell one spot in the BCS standings behind Oregon who readily took care of a well-ranked UCLA squad.
