It is, no doubt, an emotional weekend in Tallahassee for the Florida State Seminoles. Not only are they in the midst of one of the greatest seasons in school history, they’re also honoring the man that made Florida State the national power that it has become today, Bobby Bowden.
Before today’s game today against N.C. State, Coach Bowden will be honored by the school for all of his contributions, including having him plant the flaming spear mid-field before the game gets underway.
But, before honoring him today, Florida State University kicked things off by holding an event to honor Bowden last night, ‘An Evening with Bobby Bowden.’
With more than 350 of his former players, school administrators, current students and alumni in attendance, everyone–including Bowden himself–reminisced on the great times that helped build the Seminoles into what they are today.
Below are some video highlights of the event.
If that video–not just as a Florida State fan, but as a fan of college football altogether–doesn’t give you goosebumps, then you might want to check your pulse.
