There’s not a lot of doubt in people’s minds that New Orleans area recruit Malachi Dupre is the top wide receiver target in the nation for the 2014 class. His list of possible landing places reads like a who’s who among the current college football landscape.
To give proof of this, UCLA, LSU, Clemson and Alabama are among the top schools on his list, according to 247 Sports. With the skills this young man possesses, it’s no wonder that the top dogs are drooling over landing his services. Just watch a bit of his highlights, and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about:
Well, one more school near the top the list for the Louisiana native is Florida State. With the way the FSU offense is shaping up this year, coupled with some of the recruits that are already verbally on board, folks around Tallahassee would surely love to add someone like Dupre to the arsenal.
But, it’s been widely speculated for quite some time that he might just end up staying in-state and playing for the Bayou Bengals of Baton Rouge.
But still, there’s always a chance, right?
Well whether you’re a pessimist or an optimist, if you’re an FSU fan, you had to be a tad giddy to see the picture that Dupre tweeted out of himself earlier this evening:

That’s either some first-class trolling or a premonition. Recruiting in the 21st century is fun, isn’t it?
