While the ‘Noles are nearing the middle of their 2013 schedule with, what appears to be, a solid nucleus of young players on both sides of the ball, it’s still never too early to look ahead, and defensive end Michael Barnett from South Carolina reminded us of that.

The four-star rated (according to 247 Sports) defensive standout recently tabbed the Seminoles as being one of the teams near the top of his list recently in a statement to the guys over at 247:

“My Top 4 would be Virginia Tech, Florida, Florida State and North Carolina State,” Barnett told 247Sports recently at his high school.

The 2015 prospect is currently rated the no.7 junior prospect in the state of South Carolina and seems to have every intention in place to leave the state to play football at the next level.

Currently at 6-4 and 248- pounds, the  young man has tremendous upside and it’s scary to realize that he can only improve from here. Last year as a sophomore, the DE racked up 57 tackles and 12 sacks.
