ACC Weekly Linkage: 7-15-2013

Florida State Seminoles fans want information about their favorite team. I mean, at the end of the day we all do. Still — because we all need to know who we are hating — having some inside info on the evil-doers of the ACC is pretty swell.

That is why ChopChat is debuting the ACC Weekly Linkage. This weekly feature will allow you to know what those dastardly devils from Duke are doing or what shenanigans the Miami Hurricanes currently find themselves in. For now, so I can make friends, we are going to keep the linkage-fest inside the FanSided family. It’s bad enough ChopChat is already cooler than a cucumber — no need to rub it in others’ faces.

I am obviously kidding — I think. Either way, I digress. Let us take a look at what Nole Nation’s ACC competition are up to.

Over at Keeping It Heel, Simeon Jackson takes a look at North Carolina Tar Heel cornerback, Tim Scott.  UNC’s secondary is about as bad as a homeless gentleman asking you to punch him in the face for five bones. If you want to see Tar Heel fans wallow in their own self-pity, give it a read.

Were you aware that Boston College still has a football program? I kid. They do and it’s still kinda good. They also have a slew of guys on preseason award watch lists. Read about a fella who is apparently NOT a professional wrestler, but whose name is Steele Divitto. Soaring to Glory’s, Joe, gives you the BC knowledge that your brain has been so desperately craving.

Over at Ball Durham, Thomas Eames does a whole lot of ‘what ifs’ concerning incoming freshman, Jabari Parker. The potential superstar has a lot of expectations to live up to. The Duke Blue Devils, however, are used to that sort of stuff.

The Miami Hurricanes might have had one of the more interesting offseasons of any program. Not because they are landing all types of top recruits — rather the NCAA is wielding their form of misguided justice towards Donna Shalala and her school. If you need a break from Mark Emmert continuing to be inept while still needing to read something ‘The U’ related, read this piece from Canes Warning.

The Maryland Terrapins are traitors, um, I mean still technically in the ACC. If for whatever reason you are interested in seeing how future Maryland players are doing in the Reebok Breakout Tournament, Terps Nation MD has a really good look at it. To be fair, though, if you can just ignore the program for a little while longer it will be like they never existed in the ACC to begin with. Completely up to you.
